 A FEW THOUGHTS ON "GREEN"

These days the word we hear most often is "GREEN" The word green is no longer just the color of grass, trees or artist's paint it's a ideal we have to live up to in order to sustain our planet earth and everything on it. I have always been drawn to green in all it's many shades and have chosen to surround myself with green at every opportunity. Here on this coastline of California it's pretty easy to do. We have a temperate climate and misty fog rolling in from the Pacific Ocean.  After the winter rains this area can often resemble Ireland and Scotland more than the beach party image of California that everyone has in mind.

Reading how others live the country life-
English designer Jasper Conran's ode to
life in the English countryside.
I didn't realize how much green I had in my life until I took a look around both indoors and out. Now, as well as enjoying my favorite color I make the effort to keep my way of life as "green" as possible.

The most delightful way to a green environment is in a garden. If not a garden then having potted plants around the house adds a natural touch. This is also true with herbs and vegetables.

Everyone has favorite colors in clothing and in home decor. Once you know the colors that make you feel your best, stay with them and you will never feel dissatisfied with your choices. In my case it's the colors of earth, forest, and sky.

Fresh flowers always in an Italian vase I hauled home
