With November upon us and fall in full swing the grape and wild mushroom harvests of Mendocino County are in. The Mendocino County Wine and Mushroom Festival will take place Nov. 4 thru Nov. 13 There will be dozens of events, with chefs and celebrity judges (Sunset and Oprah Magazine) taking part at dinners, wine pairings and musical evenings.
We had our own fine dinner with friends which featured this very chunky, edible Boletus mushroom picked right here on our coastline.
